- I find that the replacement strap to be more comfortable. I've had the replacement for over 2 years and have not had any issues with erratic HR readings, unlike the original that seemed to become more erratic after about 18 months. Another difference is the is a rubber coating on the back of the the strap is more substantial. That may account for the less erratic readings.answered on 2015-01-31 00:00:00
